insta. obsessed. // pt. 2.

If you're #instaobsessed, then you're in for a real treat today.  I realize that it's been far too long since I've shared a roundup of my favorite Instagram users (here's pt. I in case you missed it!).  For the most part, I am very picky (read: highly selective) and make it a point to only follow those who post photos that I genuinely enjoy.  As you can imagine, who I follow fluctuates as I discover the latest and greatest users sharing stunning imagery and visual stories.  But, then again, that's probably pretty true for most of us. Without further ado, here are six Instagrammers that I'm currently loving — enjoy!

@iamgalla (Adam Gallagher, "Creative Director 23, 5'11, Libra"): Meet Adam Galla: the epitome of cool. Founder of the blog, I AM GALLA, Adam is a blogger/stylist who has succeeded in striking the perfect balance between his impeccable style and worldly travels.

@daphnemodeandthecity (Daphné M. | Mode & The City Fashion and lifestyle blogger since 2007. Paris, FR.): When preppy meets Parisian, you get this.  I recently stumbled across Daphné's Instagram account and she's quickly become a favorite of mine. Besides the fact that she is as cute as a button (could I please borrow her collection of Fair Isle jumpers?!), her dreamy photos of Paris have given me a serious case of wanderlust.

@stephens_louisa (stephens, louisa. lamp lifeboat ladder | detroit mi.): In the midst of what seems like an infinite number of preppy Instagram users, Louisa flaunts by far one of the best feeds out there.  Not just restricted to #ootd snapshots (which I do adore!), she also has a way with documenting little tidbits and snippets from her everyday life.  For a well-curated feed and simple aesthetic, Louisa is your go-to gal.

@kadyinvienna (Kady K, 21-year-old Vienna based university student and photography enthusiast.): No Instagram roundup would be complete without at least one Vienna-based feed.  I've come to appreciate not only Kady's artsy perspective and attention to detail, but also her ability to capture Vienna from a non-touristy point of view.  As part of the #igersaustria team, she knows firsthand all of the city's nooks and crannies, and her Insta account is reflective of that.

@madewell1937 (Madewell, denim obsessives. infovores. chambray.): I'm not going to lie, this one's kind of a no-brainer.  I'm a sucker for all things Madewell — the effortless cool-girl aesthetic, the brand's always on-point branding, the artful details and oh, the clothes. The fact that Madewell recently did their December shoot in Vienna makes me even more inclined to include them in this roundup.

@oliveandjune (Olive & June): If you live for #ManiMonday, then Olive & June's Insta is going to quickly become your jam.  But, really, though.  This Beverly Hills-based nail salon is all about sharing fun manis on the daily... how could you go wrong with that? #oliveyourmani

Now that I've shared my favorite Instagrammers, it's your turn!  Which Instagram users’ photos do you find yourself tapping “like” one too many times?

36. hours. in. vienna.

I just had to share this "36 Hours in Vienna" feature that the New York Times recently did on Vienna, Austria.  I've watched it, re-watched it several times again, and then went on to share it on various social media platforms... I'm obsessed.  Though only six minutes long, it captures everything that I love about Vienna:  the culture, the beautiful architecture, the mix of old and new... need I go on?  I won't say much else, because the video speaks volumes, but I do want to share that even after three years (almost going on four this May!), my love for Vienna has not diminished one bit.  If anything, it's grown stronger.

january. // the. list.

New year, new installment of my favorite blog series, “the list.” It’s been quite a while since the last time I compiled a roundup of the clothing items + accessories that I’m currently coveting, but it’s better late than never, right?! One of my goals (or rather challenges, if you will) is to take a more casual, effortless approach when putting together outfits. That said, I think the items that I’ve selected this month are versatile in how they can be just as easily dressed up as down. From a gingham shirt that I am already obsessed with to the perfect ballerinas, here’s a snippet of my January must-haves…

january. the. list.
1. Golden Double-Cloth Topcoat (J.Crew) // Gloomy days don't stand a chance when your topcoat is this radiant. In the most perfect shade of yellow imaginable — golden sun to be exact — this coat by J.Crew is everything. Sign me up!
2. Pencil It In 12 Month Agenda (Kate Spade) // Welp! I must confess that I don’t have a planner for 2015 yet. BUT I will soon enough… who knows, this charming polka dot planner could end up being mine. #wishfulthinking
3. Anabella Top (Joie) // True story, I won a gift card to Joie and treated myself to this dreamy gingham top. I haven’t officially worn it yet, but I did try it on, and the fit is ah-mazing. It’s soft, lightweight and is practically made to be paired with black skinny jeans and smoking slippers.
4. Willa Flats (Kate Spade) // Being the ballet flat devotee that I am, you can bet that I’ve got my eyes on these windowpane lovelies. The classic cream/black palette is enough to get me swooning...
5. Shirttail Skirt in Buffalo Plaid (Madewell) // This buffalo check skirt has “cool girl” written all over it, am I right?! Throw on an oversized sweater, slip into some ankle booties and you just may give Alexa Chung a run for her money. Maybe.
6. Dance Till Dawn Socks Trio (Kate Spade) // Never have I met someone who isn’t fixated with pretty socks. From tucking them into your riding boots to pairing them with your PJs for a night in, this playful trio of KSNY socks is completely necessary.
7. Initial Ring (Kate Spade Saturday) // While I’m not the biggest fan of monograms, I do find the idea of a dainty initial ring to be quite charming. Wear just one or combine initials for a fun stacked look.

What are you coveting this month? Leave a comment below!

two. thousand. fifteen.

(image via...)

Well, hello 2015!  Although I’m not typically one to get caught up in New Year's resolutions and all that jazz, I did make it a point to freshen up the design of my blog.  The change is subtle, but I did my best to streamline and minimize the overall layout + come up with a new header.  While the result is far from groundbreaking, I’m content with it… for now.

In other news, I’m excited to get back into the routine of blogging at least once a week. During the holidays (aka my favorite time of the year) and the tail-end of last semester, I simply couldn’t contribute regular posts.  But, with it being a new year, I feel more motivated than ever to get back at it.  Yay!

I wasn’t kidding above when I said that resolutions weren’t my thing.  They totally aren’t.  I have, however, decided that my word for 2015 is AESTHETICS.  In all aspects of my life, especially on Instagram and throughout this blog, I’m going to only post content/layouts/photos that are reflective of my personal aesthetic.  I appreciate minimalist, simple design and am partial to a pop of color (even better if it’s a Pantone swatch!).  In regards to my personal style, I really want to *attempt* to pull off a more effortless, casual, “off-duty” look.  Not to say that I don’t want to look put-together because I do! but, at this point, I’m so over my outfits always appearing too calculated.  Cue in no-nonsense chambray and gingham shirts, more jeans (!!!) and smoking slippers + loafers galore.

What else?!  In an effort to avoid sounding too cliche, I think I’m going to leave it at that!

What types of posts would you like to see on bitte. und. danke. in 2015?  Leave a comment below -- I’d love to hear your thoughts!
